Our Story

Ft2 Interior Design Pte Ltd was founded by Johnathon Tan, a designer driven by a clear vision to elevate standards within the interior design industry. With over a decade of hands-on experience, Johnathon built a strong reputation at a well-established interior design firm.

However, he witnessed a growing issue within the industry, a lack of proper training, accountability, and professionalism among many practitioners, often leaving homeowners feeling misled.

Guided by integrity and a pursuit of excellence, Johnathon enrolled in a three-year night course at Singapore Polytechnic, earning his Diploma in Interior Design. During this period, he refined his design philosophy and strengthened his belief that the industry required higher standards, stronger ethics, and greater transparency.

In 2021, this vision became reality with the founding of Ft2 Interior Design Pte Ltd. The name “Ft2” represents more than just square feet, it reflects a deeper commitment to purposeful design and meaningful collaboration.

These principles define Ft2’s approach, blending creative ideas with functional design, delivering lasting transformations, and working closely with homeowners to bring their visions to life.

In 2023, Ft2 introduced the EBA Quotation System, a bespoke AI-powered rendering and quotation platform. This innovation enables instant perspective visuals and cost estimates during the first homeowner meeting, significantly streamlining the design journey.

By May 2024, Ft2 expanded its presence with the opening of a second showroom at Woods Square, serving homeowners across the Northern and Western regions of Singapore.

Our Founder

Johnathon Tan

Johnathon Tan is a distinguished leader in the field of interior design, with a background that blends creativity, discipline, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

As an SAF Commissioned Army Officer, Johnathon developed the leadership skills and attention to detail that have become hallmarks of his design philosophy. His academic foundation was laid at Singapore Polytechnic, where he earned a Diploma in Interior Design, honing his craft and nurturing his passion for creating exceptional living spaces.

Johnathon's work has not gone unnoticed. His projects have been prominently featured in leading publications such as Renotalk Magazine, SquareRoom Magazine, and Bathroom + Kitchen Magazine, highlighting his ability to transform spaces with innovative and elegant design solutions.

Beyond his design achievements, Johnathon has also made a significant impact as a media personality. He was an invited host for several Mediacorp renovation variety shows, including “Please Be My Guest” (2016), “Play House” (2017), and “Top Designer” (2018), where his expertise and charisma were showcased to a broad audience.

Johnathon's tenure at the well-established interior design firm is a testament to his outstanding performance and dedication. He consistently appeared in the firm's Top 6 Chart multiple times across the years:
